The short version: browsing this website sets no cookies at all. There is one essential cookie, used only by committee members who sign in to the volunteer admin area.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember something about you — a login, a preference, or (on many sites, though not this one) a profile for advertising.

2. The one cookie we use

• gmvis_admin — an essential sign-in cookie, set only when a club volunteer logs in to the admin area to publish news, blog posts or gallery photos. It keeps them signed in for up to 12 hours and contains no tracking. Ordinary visitors never receive it.

3. What we store that is not a cookie

Your accessibility toolbar preferences (text size, contrast, dyslexia-friendly font, reduced motion) are saved in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be cleared with the toolbar's reset button or your browser settings.

4. Third parties

Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which involves a technical request to Google but sets no cookies on this site. Links to our social media channels and partner organisations lead to sites with their own cookie policies.

5. Managing cookies

Because we set no cookies for visitors, there is nothing you need to accept or decline here — which is why you will not find a cookie banner on this site. You can control or delete cookies for any website in your browser settings.
